Getting Started with MuPAD is a book for MuPAD beginners. It can be used to conduct a series of MuPAD workshops. Each chapter is a single 2-4 hours workshop, for the graphics chapter you may need 4-8 hours. I suggest also that for the chapter 7, the introduction to programming in MuPAD, should be devoted 6-8 hours. Programming is not an easy task for beginners, and your students will need more time to grasp programming concepts and get some experience in writing simple programs.

For each chapter there are two MuPAD notebooks. The instructor's notebook is prepared for displaying it on a large screen using data projector. Before using it set up your copy of MuPAD to use the following fonts:

  • Input: Lucida Sans Typewriter, 18 points
  • Output: Lucida Sans Typewriter, 18 points
  • Text: Trebuchet MS, 18 points
  • Typeseting font: Times New Roman, 18 points

Student's notebooks use setting and size of characters is suitable to view them on a computer screen. There are no other differences between these two types of notebooks.
